While out this afternoon I noticed the battery light was on, wasn’t on when I started out. It was a hot day and the A/C was on full. Battery is maybe 2 or 3 years old.
Roger, the “battery light” does not indicate the condition of the battery. It indicated whether the battery is receiving a charge from the alternator or not. Check the alternator output.

I checked battery voltage, was 11.9. checked with engine running, was 14 volts. I discovered the battery was actually 5 years old(time flies) so I replaced it. No battery light since.
