Reworking the brake system, new lines etc, found what looks like a fuel filter. Have not found any reference to it.

It’s a solenoid valve on the rear brake line. It keeps the brakes pressurized on hills. There is a switch between the carbs. When you blip the throttle the solenoid releases. A lot of owners bypass them
