1972 E-Type Restoration Project

(More photos posted below)

Description:

Up for sale is a project 1972 Jaguar XKE 2+2 with an auto transmission. While it is rough, it still is a numbers matching car and has a clean title. We originally purchased this car last year to restore it, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we won’t be able to continue with the project. The car includes every original part taken out (the interior was removed in order to start the sheet metal restoration and replacement). It also includes all the original glass, which are in perfect condition with no cracks or chips. The original trunk pan was removed, but what’s included as well is a new trunk pan and various other sheet metal components for the rear end. The new parts purchased for the project total well over $5k.

It is a rough barn find car, so it needs plenty of work. Attached are photos of how we originally got it. Not much has changed besides stripping it down.

We are crossposting the listing to make sure it reaches a wide audience. Truth be told we don’t want to give it up, but because we have to, we want to be sure it reaches a good home.

With everything said, the price is negotiable. Feel free to offer, but please no low balls.

Welcome to Jag Lovers! I wish you very much luck with the sale.

Thank you very much. I asked on another forum as well, because frankly I’m between storing it and selling it. I’m just joining the military and don’t want it to worsen while I’m away.
