1980 XJ6 Bad Wiper Switch

Hi there. I’ve got a jammed up windshield wiper lever. It doesn’t want to go into position properly at all. Can this be rebuilt? Has anyone here done this before? I actually have it apart but the ball bearing popped out and I can’t figure out where it goes in the equation. An exploded view diagram would be helpful but I haven’t been able to find one.
