1985 xj6 instrument lights

Hello:How do you access the instrument lights,there seems to be little access behind the dash? Thanks in advance,Don

Fairly easy to reach them if you remove the speedometer and/or tachometer.

The speedo and tach are removed by pushing them inward, firmly, and turning. I can never remember which direction to turn them, though. And it’s different depending if you LHD or RHD. Others will remember

On a LHD, it’s counter/anti-clockwise, and it’s < 30 deg turn. You can overshoot the release spot, which I’ve done more than once.
