1986 XJ12 Canada model vacuum lines

Hi Jaglovers
About my Canada XJ12 (with the big bumbers)…
I had a bigger thing on my XJ12 changing the headgasket’s.
While I renewed the injector harness I now have some
trouble with the vacuum lines.
I got a Workshop book here from Switzerland (where I am) but
the lines and sensors are totally different.
Does someone of you has a picture or pictures which explains
the vacuum system for the Canadian XJ12?

Thank you and best regards,
Gregor

Hi Gregor- ask on the XJ list, there is a Canadian xj12 expert there. (I think his name is Gregory Andrachuck or something like that). I have an 86 XJ12 too and found that the manual describes a pre-recall configuration. I could be confusing this with my XJS though. -John

My experience as both an (ex) XJS V12 owner and a (present) Series III V12 owner is that Canadian emission/fuel injected related info and specification is virtually identical to USA, and XJS V12 vs Series III V12 is virtually identical.

Using (USA market) XJS V12 info is probably as close as you’ll get to accurate for your (Canadian market) Series III V12

Cheers

Hi Gregor, take a look at “Sean Straw Jaguar” web site. This may help.

1986 XJ12 VDP Canadian spec…
Hope that helps,
Aristides

Hi @ all
Thank you for your replies.
I’ll try to figure it out with the pic
I got from Aristides, but there’s a lot
more of vacuum lines.
Also as John6 said I’ll make a post
at the XJ subforum.

Thank you all for your help and
replies,
Gregor
