Need some guidance - does anyone know if Pertronoix has an ignition modification kit for my car (1986 XJS V12 Lucas ignition - fuel injected)
I looked into this over a year ago, and I “think” they do not for HE models. Seemed to only work for Lucas preHE. Not enough room in distributor? There may be a thread in the archives where I asked same question. Around Nov/Dec 2018.
You probably won’t find much help. Petronix and FAST kits are popular for replacing the early troublesome Opus ignition system, but few see any need to replace the excellent Lucas CEI. In fact, some owners of later Marelli cars go to the trouble and expense of retrofitting their cars with the earlier CEI.

Series 3 xjs lucas ignition uses a 4 pin gm hei module
Just for an update -due to an over heating of the am module - I cut and spliced 7 wires from the ignition amp module and the coil to relocate the amp module to the fender support bar. Seems to be working
I should clarify- the ignition amp module was overheating- so I relocated it
