1993 starts intermittently, runs and dies

Haven’t started the car for a month or more. Got in and it cranks and cranks. Offer it fuel or starting fluid and it takes off and runs for a good 30 seconds, able to throttle up for a bit and then dies as if starving for fuel. Located the fuel pump relay in the trunk and went to test for pins but can’t find anything showing which of the 12 pins to test. I find a test procedure that involves testing at the relay base, but since the wire colors mentioned don’t exist on mine, i’m thinking that must be for a different year. Can anyone help? I remember finding a link somewhere on some site of the actual repairing of the multi function relays on this year but I can’t find it anywhere now. Thanks in advance!

fairly easy to disconnect the fuel line at the rail behind the injectors. with an assistant you can check for flow when the key is turned on with a catch vessel in place…

I think I’ll give that a try. Can anyone tell me what a DIP switch is?

So, on a Jag, it’s automatic headlight dimmer?
