Hi All, Can anybody tell me if the MK 2 2.4 and 3.4 cranks are interchangeable i notice that the the part numbers differ. Any idea what the difference is ?

No. The the 2.4 has a shorter stroke. Hence a different crank and less height on the engine block.
The heads can be interchangeable though.
You are correct that it is a shorter stroke,but surely that will be because the con rods are shorter And nothing to do with the crank itself ?

No the stroke is governed by the off set of the crank pins relative to the main bearings.
