I have a 2010 2.7 V6 diesel that has developed a noise that sounds just like the old ford noise of a failed hydraulic tappet (Jaguar now call them Lash adjusters) I have searched the workshop manuals and not found any mention of replacing these, what I would like to know is can these be changed without removing the Camshaft, it is possible on lots of cars but can it be done on my 2.7 V6, if so I would think there would be a special tool to depress the valve?
