Have Had A Code Recently Flagging Map Sensor. Replace The Sensor And Within 5 Miles Came On Again. What Else Do I Need To Check. Just For Info Had The Octopus Hose Changed And Throttle Body And Supercharger Were Removed. This Occurred Just After The Hoses Were Changed. Anyone Have Any Ideas?
Not familiar with the XJR in particular, but I would make sure that the harness connecting wires are not failing you. The wires might get baked and bent, making for a poor connection.
I would also make sure you use some kind of electrical contact cleaner at that harness as well.
Just trying to take the actual connection off your list of suspects.
The MAP sensor is on the bulkhead/firewall. Make sure the vacuum pipe is connected to it. and in good condition
