Hi,
I have seen a recent message on Ignition Switch Removal, but that was to do with the 2000 model year and mine is the 2003 model which is different and is the next generation from that year.
I’m having a tough time trying to understand how to extract the whole switch (not the barrel) and was hoping there’s someone here that can help.
Being the UK model (right-hand drive), shouldn’t make much of a difference in terms of how it’s extracted and yes, I did look at the official PDF file - which is overly simplified.
The reality is that it’s all very cramped and worse, I can’t see a thing. As far as I can tell, there aren’t any screws to remove but a plastic tab that needs to be pressed and then the switch gets pushed out.
If that’s was how to do it, I don’t understand how to push that tab as there’s very little space.
Been researching for a solution for a few months and can’t find anything on removal - maybe it’s because it’s so obvious?
Please put me out of my misery…
