I just replaced the fuel pump on my 2004 x type… Had to cut a hole in the body under the seat on the right side. removed the pump and then took out the electric motor. The motor actually fits a ford Taurus $13.00 on line so dont pay 500 for a new complete pump just replace the motor inside the pump exact fit.
