308 engine replacement under warranty

The original engine in my 1998 308 was replaced by Jaguar (UK) under warranty (presumably due to the Nikasil issue) in 2001 (new engine number 0009290237).

Can anyone tell me how much of the engine would have been replaced. Just the block; the block plus the heads and valve gear; the supercharger throttle body and other ancillaries as well?

When I worked at the dealer in the late 90’s, we replaced engines (EXCHANGE) that came as an assy. (oil pan to heads including cam covers)
The intake ports were ‘plugged’ to prevent ingress of debris.
The only things bolted to the engine were the oil filter/housing, exhaust manifolds plus the torque converter drive plate.

I don’t remember if it came with a NEW water pump?

We simply swapped all the brackets, mounts, ancillaries, intake and wiring harness.

That’s a great help thanks. I know more clearly where I am in ordering parts by engine number/VIN.
