4,0l 163kw vs 166kw differences and spark plugs

Hi guys. I intended to buy a spark plugs for my 1994 4.0l Daimler. As I was searching for the best option, I noticed that suitable plugs differs whether the engine is 163kw or 166kw. Until now, I didnt took care about this 3kw. Previously, I had 94 Daimler 4,0 and it was registered as 163kw. Few years ago, Ive bought another 94 Daimler 4,0 and it is registered as 166kw. I thought its just some kind of technological/bureacracy matter (for ex. different performance testing based on the country of the first registration), but now it seems there are really two types of 4,0l engines which have 3kw difference. But on the other hand, in my conutry of residence (Czech republic), I even cant see the 166kw option, when Im looking for spark plugs in automotive shops…

Why is that? Are there really these 163 and 166kw types of the same engine? What part of engine differs? And most importantly - why spark plugs option differs? For ex. here: autodoc.co.uk. If you type in 163kw engine, it offers you 7 items (166kw) according to 61 items (163kw). Thanks!

Just buy the Champion RC9YC plugs or equivalent, no need to get granular, detailed or fancy. These engines use the old school BASIC plugs and are perfectly happy with them.
If your are insane like me you can order the original 1994 old stock plugs from the UK like I did last time.

Ok, thanks for the spark plug help, but id like to go deeper into it. Whats the reason of 3kw difference? Why is that? Both engine i had are from 94, both had different kW recorded…

Think a good JAGLOVERS question is where did you see a chart or “guide” listing kilowatt ratings of engines? Kilowatt is normally a rating for power generation not engine output… yes it can relate to heat taking into considering the efficiency of device rated but very odd non the less. Where did you see this information and Id contact the poster of the information, or company listed in the print-out, and ask them to explain is it is very out of the ordinary to see any such data on petrol engines
good luck and post what you find.
