Nothing on the sills except oval covers over those round holes with the two screw holes.
Felt may have had tar on one side to stick it down, not sure about that though.
Carpet under the seats, with plywood strips under the runners covered with rexine or moquette.
Mine were full of crud so I cleaned them, attached them to a working platform and worked them until they rolled smooth. As I recall some of the balls had moved out of their correct place, and I had to knock them back. The lifting eye is just a handle for sliding them.

I don’t know if this is true of the OTS, but with the FHC we came to the conclusion that there were 3/8" plywood blocks to raise the runners up above the carpet.

My seats move …
I have made these BD.6113 Packing for Seat Slides (4).
I made them out of 3/8" Baltic Birch plywood, 1-1/2" x 15".
They are found on page 8 of the FHC supplement and page 11 of the DHC supplement, under Floor Panels, not Seats incidentally.
So the question is, what was used to cover them?
Moquette, rexine, leather?
Is there definitive evidence, did it vary from year to year, or is it just trimmer’s opinions or owner’s preferences?
Urs Schmid and Bernard Viart do not mention these.
