87 Series 3 battery hold down

Recently had to replace the battery and found the rectangular frame holding the battery down is rusted thru in one place. I’m having trouble finding a replacement of the same type.

Any thoughts on where to find a replacement appreciated.

My Series III XJ6 Parts Catalogue shows that part number is DAC3524. If you search the Internet for “Jaguar DAC3524” there are some suppliers that show that they carry that part although it may have to be special ordered.

A secondary factor here in New Zealand is that the original battery size is not available - and the original frame doesn’t fit the available batteries…:slight_smile:
