That’s a beautiful car, but the 305 engine was a poor choice. While they had a relatively long life, it just doesn’t produce the power desired to move the big Jag at an exciting pace.
I would exchange it for an 376 cubic inch (6.2 liter) LT engine. This engine has the active cylinder management system (used in the C8 Corvette) that will allow the engine to cruise at 65 mph wile running on as few as two cylinders).
What could possibly be bad about cruising along at freeway speeds and obtaining 25 miles to the gallon of premium fuel with the big GT coupe?
