So, picked up another 96 that was broken and had been worked on with no rust. The previous guy had tried to remove the intake to get to the water rail and gave up. My question is about the plastic tube that goes into the manifold. The previous guy had worked it over pretty good and after some tugging and pushing I got it out, what is the proper method? Is there a clip that holds it in that I was missing? I could see a thin plastic looking ring around it but most of it had apparently been broken off. I now know why the hose is called the bastard hose! Replacing all the hoses, etc. While I’m in there. Thanks for any info.
