Tivvy Shenton passed away… He was active in vintage racing and drove BLANCH a white XK140 coupe. He teched many of the vintage races and the gold cup at VIR. I had the privilege of working with him for several years on not only Jags but also a Datsun 240 Z race car. I miss his humour, expertise and his advice.

I never met Tivvy but I have certainly heard stories from those who knew him.

Wow, what a great article.
Those Alan Mann Escorts were just fantastic cars. Aged around 13 (1968), I modified an Airfix kit of a two-door saloon to build a really accurate model of XOO349F, sister car to the one featured here. I used to watch them racing at Snetterton and Brands, fantastic things. If you were lucky, you’d get them in the saloon race and the F3L in the prototypes. Great days.
Wow, what a top bloke! Another one of those I wish I had gotten a chance to meet…RIP.
