I suspect it will (re) (re) re-ignite the long running discussion of: can anyone truly and accurately source the Enzo Ferrari quote re most beautiful car ever made.

It was reported by the late Norman Dewis, I think some time after Enzo’s death. Enzo didn’t speak English, Norman wasn’t known for his Italian language skills. However, the story has a certain stickiness, and is unlikely ever to be seriously challenged, certainly not amongst the crowd that frequent interweb fora such as this one.

The video is one of a series of presentations in a TV challenge to find Britain’s car of the 20th century. Competitors included such successes as the E-Type and the Mini, and the winner was, of course, the Land Rover. Yes, really!
