A good friend of mine is Director of technical operations for SVRA, and pointed me to this video: that Tempest looks completely out of place, but man, izzit well- driven!!

A million years ago we’d race thru the Santa Monica mountains on Mulholland Drive. Crazy stuff. This was the 70s when everyone was just learning about going around corners…. as opposed to drag racing.
Anyhow there was a period of time when THE car to beat was a ‘65 Tempest with a two speed automatic and a two barrel carburetor! That guy had it goin’ on, man👍
I think his reign was toppled by a guy with a tricked-out Fiat 124
