Another 140 rd. project sees the light of day again

An auction near Gettysburg, Pa. featured a stalled 140 restoration yesterday. A friend will give me all the numbers, but it was S811036DN and sold for $12,000 (plus a 10% buyer’s fee). I think a bit on the low side because of the wrong motor, but still a 140 MC motor. I have 2 E projects going now, so I was less tempted to go myself.

Phil, if he can get the name of the auction perhaps we can find it on the web and get photos and description.

Hi Paul,
You can see photos at auctionzip(dot)com. The sale was 9/26 near Gettysburg, Pa. and the auctioneer was Larry Swartz. My friend did send me the data plate info - S811036DN, F11053, G2433-8S, JLE27495. The engine with the car was G6662-8S. One or two numbers or letters might be off as he didn’t have his reading glasses, but the numbers are all close to my 140.

Phil.

it doesn’t look like you can view old auctions/results
