i made another steering wheel and recolored the airbag and the body of the wheel to match the interior color which is barley. i used vinyl paint and dye . the black airbag just looked terrible with the walnut wheel !

Your steering wheel looks great. Could you explain your use of vinyl paint and dye? How difficult was the wheel removal from thye car?
i used dupli-color vinyl paint in a color that was close to my barley color. then i used a leather dye over the paint , let it cure well and then a NuVinyl coating . i could probably scratch it with my fingernail if i tried hard but it is pretty durable and something that will not be handled much except for the horn buttons which i covered with clear horn icon decals.
