all snug as on car, does the inner central flat flange of the wire wheel meet right up to the brake drum, with almost no space, OR is there a half inch or so…so that with a flashlight you have enough clearance space between wheel center and drum to see the large nuts on the drum.? just takes a peek…let me know thanks. Looking at my '53 with 54 spoke wheels, the inner hub flange is 3/16" (maybe a little shy of that) from the drum; too close for me to see much into the gap.
About the same, 3/16”, on my ‘54. Cannot see the nuts.
