Are Thermostat Jiggle pins essential?

The air trying to get out will of course be at the top.

Greg, are these jiggle pins on the thermostat I purchased? If so I can only see one way to install them, cheers Geoff

What? There are an infinite number of ways to install, or only 360 if you measure per degree.

Yes, those are jiggle pins/bleed holes. The brass looking thing that looks like rivet on one end.

Install and rotate thermostat so jiggle pin is upward toward ceiling.

Greg, OK now I got it, I always let my mechanic install stuff, I am so busy being my wife’s 24/7 caregiver (Alzheimer’s) and the last few days have been really tough, my XJS is my therapy car! Sorry for being slow! Cheers Geoff

Understand. Working on my XJS in the garage makes me forget about all the stress from the last five days of my job.

… glad I’m working on the Jag “in the garage” and not outside working on the Jag (whichever one I had at the time :grinning:).

The first 20 years were ‘no garage’ years. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

The last 40 years have been ‘with garage’ years. :sunglasses:
