Are these con rod nuts single use only?

Sorry no picture as the engine isn’t out yet but it soon will be for a new rear main and clutch. When last my 3.8 was out I opted to use the black 12 point nuts (XJ6 nuts?) rather than go back in with cotter pins. It’s rolled abut 23k miles since then. Are they safe to be re-torqued after the crank is replaced or do I need to put new ones on my shopping list?

The first of many questions I’m certain

Nope: they can be reused. Ditto the bolts, if the engine’s seen relatively low-speed (<5000 rpm) use.

You will need new bearing shells.
