In reply to a message from ctc sent Mon 4 Sep 2006: Chris, Starting with the '93 MY, Jag introduced an oil cooler bypass arrangment which fits in place of the oil cooler pipes on the oil cooler adaptor block between the oil filter head and the block to give an ‘either / or’ option. However, there is no need to buy that bypass kit when you junk the oil cooler. Simply remove the oil cooler adaptor block and bolt the oil filter head directly to the block using shorter bolts - as recommende…

I’m going this route…cancelling bypass and going to grind the bolts down.
