Attaching chrome to vehicle

Has anybody tried reattaching their chrome small bits using today’s modern adhesives. I can see the advantage of reattachment after a repaint using this technique rather than fusing with all of the screws and unique mounting pieces particular to our Jaguars.

I see that most modern cars have their insignia emblems attached with VERY strong glues

used black polyurethane in small blobs spaced apart to help re-attach chrome drip-rail trim, and windscreen chrome, to avoid damaging paint, a fitment issue, and to make sure it can never fly off at 80mph…blobs spaced apart so a razor knife can slip under and cut if ever needed to remove, and any space filled with a much softer black compound. Has to be clamped for a good result. You need to consider an item glued too strongly with modern adhesives may not be able to be removed without destroying it
