Automatic transmission dip stick "O" ring

Quick question …

Has anyone replaced the “O” ring on the automatic transmission dip stick ?

I pulled the dip stick to check the fluid level and the “O” ring just fell apart (well I did nudge it a bit). I believe the dip stick is common to almost all years and models of the XJ40 and XJ-S.

As you can see it’s not really a normal “O” ring but flatter. Just wondering.

Just head to yer nearest FLAPS,find two the same OD, and stack them. Likely will work well.

… and here I thought FLAPS was a specialty company that made “O” rings for Jaguars … JEEZ !
