When we purchased our 1999 XJR it was summer here so the need for heat wasn’t there, now it is cooling off we find that the Aux pump hasn’t been working. Removal and stripping down revealed the brushes were worn below service levels. Managed to procure a new set and fitted them up and bench tested good. Refitment back on the car and still no heat, identified the relay and confirmed that by manually closing the points resulted in the pump running. Searching the web for fuse locations came up zip so it was a case of pulling each fuse to check f any were blown. Success! One of the fuses (10amp) had failed, once this was replaced I had heat into the cabin. Interestingly the front fog and rear hi intensity lights are now working again
