Learnt a lot about XK engines and cylinder heads. Remembered how much I dislike fitting the bottom hose on the radiator. And did some research into engine bay colours too.
Hopefully just a bit of tinkering left before weather warms up and I can add a few more miles.

Yes - looked as if it failed at the point of the weld. Then even managed to punch a little hole in the top of the piston. How I laughed…
Ill check the specs when I get home and look at the invoices - was a few weeks ago I got them now
Looks like std 9:1 pistons before they had the domes.
That is correct right - replaced with what has in when took it apart
