Best alloy for alumin(i)um repair

I’ll be starting some body repair soon and there are some areas that will likely require a patch panel to be welded into one door and the boot lid. Does anyone recommend a particular alloy for this. I have experience welding 6061 and 5052 and actually have some 18ga 6061 laying around that I could use.

6061 is a high strength alloy used for structures like stadium seats and dump trucks. Body parts are a low strength high ductility alloy like 1100. I would use 1100.
