Bonnet locating peg and rubber buffer

Simple question, does the rubber buffer slip over the nut on the bonnet locating peg?

Yes and if it won’t stay put a little contact cement on the bottom of it.

Yes, slips over the hex portion of the pin before the bonnet/car was painted at the factory. Therefore, it’s body color…

That was definitely the case with S3 cars, but all unmolested S1 and S2 cars I’ve seen had Cad Plated bonnet latch and alignment hardware and unpainted rubber buffers.
