Does the lock nut on the brake light switch turn counterclockwise to remove? I have used both arms trying to remove it in that direction and only moved it about 1/4 turn. Also, should I have pressure on the brake pedal when removing it to avoid air getting into the lines. thanks
I don’t recall a lock nut on mine. If there is a lock nut it should be rotated counterclockwise when you are looking at the electrical terminal end of the switch. If you remove the old switch and install a new one with no pressure on the backe pedal very little fluid will escape, a few drops, and virtually no air will be introduced into the system.
