Brief lumpy idle after highway drive (but only in park)

I’m hoping that proves the case for me! In the summer time my car would get a little too hot in stop and go traffic! I’ve gone through most but not all the usual cooling system fixes these past few years. If my new rebuilt trans was part of the heat problem (which it well may have been) that may do wonders for my summer running hot troubles!

“A bit too much oil will spin out within the distributor base and eventually be ignited by a spark, blowing the distributor cap off.”

Yup, I had a cap melt down and burn the wiring in the ‘Valley of Death’ because the disty air vent was not working properly. That caused wiring shorts in several wiring looms and all of that had to be replaced. Luckily the fire did not get to the fuel lines but shorted wires in the looms caused several shorts and all had to be replaced.

It can really get hot in the disty.
