I would not use the hydraulic chain tensioner! You want to look for ones, called Remold, which are difficult to find.

As Paul mentions the Renold brand seems to be the preferred tensioner - it is the OEM brand originally supplied to Jaguar Cars. If you haven’t done so already you should have a read through the following thread discussing the Rolon brand shown in your link.

So long as they assure you it is NOT a Rolon, which are marketed as “OE Jaguar parts.” If so, a semi-worn original is better than the new Rolon.

I see one of the popular Jaguar parts suppliers on the East Coast show three listings for the lower chain tensioner (Part # EAC3629) - one at $24, one at $176 (marked Genuine Jaguar) and another “uprated” tensioner at $372. You might want to have chat with them but I’m guessing the Genuine Jaguar part they carry is the Renold Brand made in France per the original - IMHO it would be best to call them and ask the question. I could also guess, as could you, the $24 part is Brand X. Good luck getting this sorted out.
