Can anyone verify this MKVII part?

I have several of these mystery parts that I believe have been removed from MK7

I have a vague thought it may be the lock mechanism built into the lower front door of a MK7-9 to retain the entire swing down tool container ?

However, I could be wrong, although I cannot think what else it may be

Yes that looks like it, can’t see mine fully without removing the door card.
