Both cam notches must point upwards when cylinder 1a is at tdc.
If one cam is exactly 180’ out, then your ignition leads will point to the wrong cylinders and if they are at any other random angle, then the valves may hit the pistons when the engine turns.
It’s time to buy a manual.
