Chrome Horn rings

Does anyone know if the chrome horn rings for a MK. 2 is the same as a Mk. X. Need to track one down for my 65 Mk. X.

MK2, SType, 420, mk10, 420G, All the same.

Hi Jim, I found out recently they aren’t all the same. There is an early version of the Mk2 horn ring that uses clips instead of pins or screws to attach the cover. I think as long as you avoid that one they are all the same.

Correct, they are different. Here is a photo of the underside of the cover that goes over the horn ring on my 1965 3.8S. This cover is rigidly mounted to the wheel spokes with four screws from the back side of the steering wheel spokes. The horn is activated

by the spring loaded chrome horn ring or the central medallion button. Not sure when the Mark X might have used this system but probably did by the later 420G. Others can confirm.
