True, but that’s part of the frame, not the door per se. IIRC, there were also slight modifications to actual Mk 2 frames as well, with addition gusseting added at one stage, and the internals of the latches also changed fairly early in the piece. Despite the difference between the S Type and Mk2 frames, I think the glass is the same.
I looked at this and replied to the OP back in June. 3.8S glass front glass is not the same as Mk2. There is a subtle difference in the upper rear edge.
I sold him a mk2 glass.
