[collectibles] 1937 DESMO JAGUAR LEAPING MASCOT

I am looking for an ORIGINAL Jaguar Leaping Mascot which is a 1937 -
this is the one which looks like it was ‘‘shot off the fence’’ and
was rejected by Sir William. I have a XK150S which from a picture
from 1962 had this original mascot on the hood so I would like to
know if anyone knows any sources for such an item. I have been
checking on ebay for a couple of weeks to no resolve.
The car is being restored to museum quality and thus needs an
original!–

The Desmo mascot comes available once in a while on ebay, perhaps
about every two months. There is one listed now. I have one and
know another person in the Classic Jaguar Association with one.
They were an aftermarket accessory, not from Jaguar. Just a little
patience and you should be able to find one. They have two metal
bases possible, a sort of puddle and a circular stand. I’m not sure
of the years of production of this mascot by Desmo. I’ve heard they
were produced into the 1950s. There also have been reproductions.–
