[collectibles] Can you help me locate this car?

I’d like to get more info and some fresh photos of the Raymond Lowey 140.
Does anyone know where it is today? Here are some vintage photos:

Thanks,

Mike,

Is this the same Raymond Loewy of Studebaker Hawk fame?

If so, I would imagine that there are some Studebaker historians
that may have info as to the dispensation of his car collection.

Hope this helps…

Mike,

If this is the same Raymond Loewy, try this link…

Apparently, his estate can be contacted in reference to his name
and influence on design.

They may be able to help as they mention Jaguar as one of the
many companies that he did work for or with.

I dropped them a note to see if they might share any info on any
possible design exercises that he may have had with Jaguar.

Hope this helps,

Well, that question was asked a lonnnnnng time ago. Since then, I’ve been
in touch with Raymond Loewy’s daughter, two of the designers who worked on
the car, and all the Stude people I could find…nobody knows where that
car is…

Interestingly, the body was originally intended to be a Ferrari, but
Ferrari lost interest mid project, so they finessed it onto a Jaguar
chassis. That’ s why there are some features that don’t look quite
right. I pretty sure that it’s the only Jaguar Ferrari ever built by
Studebaker…

Actually, I’ve been in touch with them…you’re going over old ground.
