[collectibles] F-Type poster error

Those of you who’ve managed to obtain F-Type concept showroom posters
one way or another might care to look at them carefully!

They all have the annotation at the bottom left:

‘Jaguar F-Type concept as shown at the Detroit Motor Show 2000’

However, it seems that the proof reader wasn’t too hot or had had one
too many, I’ve got two different style copies where Detroit is spelled
‘Detriot’ !!

A bit of checking determines that this was spotted at Jaguar, posters
withdrawn and reissued with corrections. And this agrees as a later
acquisition I have has the correct spelling. Not sure how many poster
styles there are in total but I have three so far numbered
FT-06-00/FT-10-00/FT-12-00. Two are on the Posters page (they are in
fact the ‘Detriot’ ones but you won’t be able to see this at screen
resolutions).

I’m told the original F-Type postcards also had the same misspelling
but I can’t find any examples - can anyone confirm this (swaps!).

As a matter of interest, If I can lay my hands (legally) on more
current/recent posters at reasonable cost, is anyone out there
interested?

Tony,
Indeed there are , I checked and on my two postcards is the misspelling. I
have a card with a front view and one with a view from the rear.
For additional posters I would be interested, my local dealer is a bit of a
Scrooge regarding parting with publicity material.
