Thanks for your note, I spent two weeks trying to get someone, good luck with
your search.

I am out in the beautiful Florida sunshine working on my 69 E-Type FHC, it
has been in the shop for 3 weeks getting a new starter, 4th one this year!!
Lived in Tustin, and Fountain Valley for a number of years, always felt San
Diego was one of the nicest cities in the U.S.

We are the original owners of this beauty. V.I.N. 1R26340 bought in in New
York on Oct. 10, 1969,

Best regards,
Thomas.

Thomas,

Thanks for the email. That's amazing that you kept your car all

these years.

Tony Bailey is the point of contact for the ads on the website. His

email address is tony@jag-lovers.org

Some specifics on my new 1969 XKE FHC:

-VIN: J69-1R-26889
-Engine: 7R-7256-9, twin Stromberg’s, no crossover pipe, large canister air
cleaner. beautiful to see, purrs like a kitten
-Gearbox: KE 8605 very smooth in all 4 gears
-Made in 10/69 (the year I graduated from High School)
-Original exterior color: Sable (discovered in spare wheel area and under
side lights)
-Current color: British Racing Green (repainted in December 1988) looks OK
from 10 feet, but will need a repaint due to scratches or “sun etching”
visible up close.
-Original interior color: tan with perforated leather seating surfaces and
tan vinyl (beautiful, mint condition)
-Chrome wire wheels (beautiful, just beautiful)
-Vredestein 185 SR 15’s (original Dunlop spare on chrome wire wheel) with
lots of tread left
-Odometer 66,575 (speedometer inop), actual mileage unknown, seller (3rd
owner) stated 67,725 on the paperwork (due to recent speedo failure)
-Philips Transistor AM/FM/SW radio
-Southern California car, all 3 prior owner lived in Los Angeles/San Diego
area and the car was garage kept.
-some of the miscellaneous maintenance/service/repair records provided are
consistent with a 60-70K mile car but who knows for sure
-Air conditioning runs very nice and cold
-all exterior rubber recently replaced
-all hoses (including fuel lines) recently replaced

I now have a tough decision to make each time I go out to my garage: Do I
drive the Jaguar or do I drive the Jaguar?

“Life is too short not to drive really cool cars!!!”
