Never realised Jaguar made these: eBay item 110364274084
Seems like a very rare collectible. No personal vested
interest in this item although I do go game shooting.
Already have four shooting sticks so of no interest to me.

I’ve never seen one of these in over 35 years of collecting and dealing in
Jaguar automobilia. It looks genuine and would therefore appear to be a rare
item.
I would only advise the buyer to use it with care. I suspect that the
all-important gilt stamping will wear off quite quickly - and with that
would go most of the value!
All the best,
Ian Cooling

Yes - a peculiarly British thing because we have to wait for
so long on our ‘pegs’ before the birds (pheasant, partridge
or grouse) are driven over us. The shooting stick has a disc
to prevent the spike from sinking into the ground when we
sit on it, loaded Purdey 12 bore in hand. It is usually
adjustable for height and has a leather seat which folds out
between the handles. The most famous (and collectible) were
made by Mills Brothers, Birmingham who also designed the
Mills Bomb (aka The Grenade) and invented the windscreen
wiper. Obviously there is some synergy here with the
products of Coventry, which is just down the road.
