[collectibles] Le Jeune mascot

(Graham Jordan) #1

Is there such a thing as a painted (or enamelled) Louis Le
Jeune hood ornament?
If so how rare are they.

Le Jeune made all sorts of mascots, but there were many
aftermarket makers of mascots
I can’t find whether they made a Jaguar in their range, but
even if they did they they would not be an original Jaguar
fitting.
More like another version of that dreadful Desmo Jaguar
mascot which William Lyons hated and inspired him to have the
Gordon Crosby mascot made.

I presume Lyons would have wished the Desmo mascots even
rarer : >)–

Wow… where did you find it?

(Graham Jordan) #6

Good ol ebay several years back.
If it isn’t on Ebay at some stage it doesn’t exist.

I can say after far too many days searching, your Louis Le Jeune hood ornament is most definetly one-of-a-kind… it is a lovely, well done!

You must have great taste. Just look at your car for instance.
Regards, Graham.

Thank you, I’m a little obsessed with my baby. As for taste, I tend to pick “things” that are far too pretty/handsome and rare… it’s a gift, lol.
