[collectibles] SS Car Club Badge - Forgery

Hi All,

Just in case any of you were thinking of bidding, I thought I’d flag up a
warning about the so-called SS Car Club badge which is on offer on e-bay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=541293101

This is an inaccurate copy/forgery, as the low reserve price will confirm -
a bargain it ain’t!

Perhaps ‘replica’ would be a better description.

Charles

replica noun
an exact copy of an object

That it most definitely is NOT!

See an origin
at:

g>

and take away the ‘Founders’ part.

Seems that many mail clients wrapped that URL and cut off the trailing ‘g’ of
‘.jpg’ on the next line so a lot of you are getting 404 errors (they all end
up in my mail!)

Maybe that one worked, if not manually adjust it when you paste please.

Tony,

Yep, happened to me but I saw what happened and corrected it.

Having just placed an order with Triple-C, I took it upon myself to send
them an email suggesting they update the auction info to note that this is
a reproduction and pointed them at the URL you supplied to see an original-
