[collectibles] SS Rarity

I recently had the pleasure of handling and photographing an example of
a very scarce SS Cars presentation paper knife. Until then, my
pre-existing knowledge of this exciting piece existed as a small photo
in JAC some years ago.

So here’s a web page for it, posted with the UK owners permission (who
wishes to remain anonymous, and sob, it is therefore not mine). Rather
unfortunate that someone has tried to use it as a dagger against an
unyielding surface at some point past but it’s still a nice item. Don’t
suppose anyone else out there actually has one - do they?

Wow! Quite spectacular! I can see why it would be mistaken for Nazi stuff.
Oh and by the way, I use one here in my desk to open letters as well.

Tony:

Well, don't cry too much...anyone not knowledgeable would mistake it for a

bit of Nazi memorobililia, and who would want to be associated with
collecting that stuff?
