[collectibles] Unkown Model

Hello all,

on my web-site http://www.mraven.com/unkown-model.htm there are some
pictures of a Jaguar S-type model.
It was made in Japan by presumebly Chiko.

Will anyone who knows more about this model please contact me.

Hello Jos:
I am not sure who made THAT “S” Type model, but I can tell you this:
that’s the BEST model I have ever seen in the sense of capturing the
true shape and proportions of the 3.8 S Type, never had I seen
anything like it;

Having said that: I once saw an incredible SCHUCO XK-120 model with
identical wheels, so it may be a SCHUCO model (made in Germany).
The XK-120 SCHUCO was a very large model, made of pressed steel, and had
very similar qualities to your “S” type model, such as the correct
proportions like your model does; I would date your model to the late 1960’s
without knowing anything about it. The “psychodelic” paint job is from the
1966-1969 “hippie” period which makes sense with the car’s
manufacturing period.

Try getting info. on SCHUCO MODELS.
